An area colonized by the Greeks around 2500 years ago and of great archaeological interest located inland and rising sharply towards the Sila Mountains is home to the Librandi Spa which started out as a bottling factory at the beginning of the 50’s though the family has cultivated vines and produced wine for almost four generations. The production was initially concentrated only on Cirò Doc, red, rose’ and white beyond the reserve, and the Melissa Doc white and red, eventually broadening to a line IGT Val di Neto. The company is quite dedicated to important research and experimentation, concentrating on classic, local wines of doc relevance, Gaglioppo and Greco Bianco as well as other regional local wines such as Mantonico Bianco Magliocco with red berries.
