The Residenza Terre di Nano enjoys a splendid position settled between the hills of Piacenza and Montepulciano. The proprietor’s house is a restructured villa from the 1800s. A sensation of naturalness from a house built in another era: it can be felt as soon as you step into the kitchen where the stone fireplace, the ancient inbuilt oven and the old kneading troughs give off convivial warmth. In an adjacent room: a long table, sofas and family furniture. Here dinner is served: local dishes tastefully reworked with a light and creative hand. The 14 rooms in the main building, furnished with the owner’s pieces and old fabrics, have all the fascination flavour d’antan charm. Outside, three smaller residences with two or three bedrooms in each unit.
