Stepping over the threshold of n.17 via Santuario delle Grazie Vecchie is a bit like moving aside one of those old front doors that conceal splendid courtyards. To be honest, nothing antique has remained here, maybe just the memory of the Frette spinning mill that once occupied the space before Franca Gelmini and her daughters transformed it into one of the most welcoming urban Spas of the Milanese suburbs: the ‘Toi Meme’. She wished to give her fellow city dwellers the pleasure of a beauty centre in Monza. Relaxation begins with the Promenade des Sens; water transformed into vapour in the Turkish bath, into shower jets, into the dry heat of the sauna, into bubbles in the hydro massage chaise longues. The idyllic scene is finished off with a lime and mint foot massage and a fabulous Hammam.
