Scattered like breadcrumbs, hundreds of islands facing Dalmatian coasts of endless azure and emerald Adriatic Sea are favourite summer destination for the lovers of sailing. Croatia offers countless seashore locations and possibilities to visit ancient cities such as Zara, Spalato and Dubrovnik declared by the Unesco ‘heritage of humanity’. True treasure chest are the islands of Kornati located on the Adriatic stretch between Zara and Sebenico. Protected since 1980 area of the park includes 89 islands and creates rare and fascinating ecosystem of fi ords, caves and myriads of crystalline creeks. Another treasure not to be missed is the island of Lesina (Hvar) loved by the young and also known as the ‘long island’ or Saint Tropez of the Adriatic.
Apart from the sea there abound also the pleasures of the palate such as delicious fi sh, which one can enjoy in numerous restaurants along the sea.
