One look and you fall in love with the beauty of this small medieval citadel in Umbria, surrounded by verdant nature and ancient olive groves.
Trevi’s urban plan is also quite unusual: built in concentric circles that tighten all the way up to the top, closing in the heart of the ancient part. Buildings from the 15th and 18th century make for this timeless atmosphere, and artistic gems like the Madonna delle Lacrime church and chapel painted by Perugino. Trevi is also an important centre for oil tourism. The small village lays claim to what is considered the oldest olive tree in Italy, Sant’Emiliano, in the Bovara area. November 3rd and 4th Trevi will host the event “Festivol, Trevi Amidst Oil, Music, Art and Taste Buds”, where the precious elixir can be tasted on the inside of historic buildings, open to the public for the occasion.
