Marcello Lunelli, The gentleman of wine
Trentino-Alto Adige
Vino Magazine: May 2007
His first memory of wine dates back to his childhood, when he rode on an old orange Fiat tractor down the rows of vines ready for harvesting, under the watchful eye of his mother. Marcello Lunelli, 39, along with his cousins Camilla and Matteo, makes up the younger generation leading the world’s most famous Italian sparkling wine company, Trentino-based Ferrari. After earning his agriculture and oenology degrees, he gained experience in a Trentino social wine cellar and then in Germany. He is now ready to take his place in the noble ‘spumanti’ house, aware and proud to be part of a company with a strong family connotation.
